John A. Blatchford Jr. has been with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Rhode Island since July 2010, when he was hired as an accounting consultant. In December of 2019 he joined the team full time in his current position as CFO. Jack has over 30 years’ experience in the accounting profession, the last ten being in the non-profit realm.
Jack is a graduate of Assumption College in Worcester, MA. Jack is the Chairman of the Douglas, MA Board of Assessors, Chairman of the Douglas School Building Committee, Vice Chairman of the Douglas Finance Committee, and Treasurer for Saint Denis Church in Douglas, MA where he serves as a Eucharistic Minister.
In his first year as CFO at BBBSRI, the COVID-19 Pandemic caused major upheaval for our country. Jack is a steady leader who was able to not only maintain control and calm during a tumultuous time, he was also able to grow the Donation Center operation to ensure an even more financially stable position for the organization.
Jack’s role includes oversight of the accounting of BBBSRI and oversight of the Donation Center and Development operations of BBBSRI. He leads a team of 19 people.
Jack has been married to his wife Kristine for over 30 years and has two sons.
