Our Impact - Because of Your Support and Advocacy
Since 1966, BBBSRI has grown to serve thousands of youth in Rhode Island by connecting them with positive adult role models that help ignite their full potential. Since 1999 we have served 2270 individuals. Additionally, since 2000, we’ve provided 62 Littles with scholarship opportunities totaling $195,750. In late 2021, our move to Rising Sun Mills in the heart of Olneyville in Providence gave us a chance to continue our impact by being closer to the areas where are a large part of young people we serve reside.
2022 Mentoring Facts:
- 100% of parents and guardians felt our Mentoring programs had a positive impact on their child
- 97% of Mentees moved onto the next grade in the Fall of 2022
- 89% of Mentees saw an increase in self-confidence and social skills
- 100% of Mentees enjoyed spending time with their mentors
