Zahira Francis

Assistant to CFO/Attendants Manager

Zahira began working for Big Brothers Big Sisters in March 2022 as a dedicated Customer Service Representative. Within six months of joining the organization, she was given the opportunity to become Assistant to the Chief Financial Officer. Demonstrating dedication and proficiency in the role, she was further promoted the position of Attendant Manager within a year.

Zahira’s dedication to the organization's mission and the transformative impact it has on the youth of Rhode Island drives her commitment to contribute to its success. She’s enthusiastic about the meaningful work at Big Brothers Big Sisters of RI and notes her pride in being part of an organization that makes a significant difference in the lives of young individuals in our community.

Born in Puerto Rico and relocated to Tampa, Florida at the age of 5, Zahira cultivated a strong commitment to community engagement from a young age. She actively participated in the annual Puerto Rican Day Parade in Tampa, contributing to raising awareness and fostering support for her community.

Zahira attended Everest University for Health Science and graduated with honors, earning a place on the President's List. Post-college, she met her husband, Robert, and in 2011, they welcomed their first son, Aiden and in 2013 their second son, Ethan. Zahira and her family relocated to Rhode Island in 2016, where they currently enjoy time with their cherished fur-baby, Stella.
