Help support the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Rhode Island (BBBSRI) BIG Adventure, Skiing. The Big Adventure was established in 2022 when Ted Turnbull and his wife, Whitney Turnbull were determined to provide local young people who may not otherwise have access to skiing, with access. Last year, 19 BBBSRI mentor/mentee pairs (Matches) participated in 5, one-hour ski lessons at Yawgoo Valley. Each young person started on the Bunny hill and by the end of week five, a majority made it down the mountain. One young man was so excited the night before the first session that he slept in his ski goggles. This experience was life-changing for these young people. Donations to The BIG Adventure allow BBBSRI to cover costs of all lessons and ski gear necessary for the youth to participate.

Little, Fede, was so excited for The BIG Adventure! As a first time skier he couldn't wait for the first session. When the day came, Fede quickly realized he was a natural! By the end of the day he was already skiing down the larger slopes! The experience turned out to be one of the best adventures!
